Ceramics
Ages 18 & up
Explore various techniques in form-building and surface application.
Simple projects will hone your skills. Choose to develop your ideas
with professional guidance, or create directed projects. Course is ideal for
those who want to work with their hands, relax, and succeed in creating
beautiful, finished pieces of functional or decorative art. Fee includes glazes and firing. Clay may be purchased from instructor for $8-$10.

Encaustic Painting
Ages 18 & up
The ancient art of Encaustics dates back over 2000 years ago. Encaustic
paintings are created from melted beeswax, pure pigment, and Damar
resin. The resin cools and hardens, giving the painting a beautiful, luminescent, glossy finish. Students create several technique samples along with a completed encaustic painting ready for showing. Truly amazing paintings! Please bring a $25 material fee to the
instructor at class.

Ultimate Chocolate

Truffles
Ages 12 & up
Make elegant, dome-shaped truffles with a variety of luscious fillings
including: white, milk and dark chocolate. Learn how to flavor basic
ganaches (fillings) with liqueurs and oils. Make and take a dozen truffles
in a gift box. Students will be given recipes, notes, tips, and truffle molds.

This class is a great review on controlling your SLR camera, including lenses, f-stops, shutter speeds and ISO. It’s followed by a hands-on workshop with Robert Gouine, on how to transfer your work to the computer. There will be a homework assignment with a critique. If you are confused about histograms, JPEG, white balance, emailing or printing your photographs, this is where you want to start.

Intermediate Digital Photography
Ages 18 & up
Learn to use special tools and filters to clean up your photos! Adjust color
in the image, crop, remove backgrounds, blur, add text, repair prints
of dust and blemishes, remove red eye, and apply filters. Bring your favorite photo original image out of the camera before any adjustments on
your media disk to work with during class.

This fun class provides a guideline for purchasing necessary equipment (and knowing what not to buy). Learn to transfer your images from the camera to the computer, clean up photos, and save them for e-mail or printing on photo-grade paper. Beginning Guitar

Middle Eastern Dance

Class covers basic steps and rhythms done to moderate tempo music as
well as dances that will build upon previously learned basic movements.
Our instructor created Stanford University’s successful “Mid Eastern

sandals. No previous experience is necessary.
