Ages 11 - 14
Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard. Obtain valuable job experience and safety training. Junior lifeguards will have weekly training to learn lifeguarding skills and conditioning program. Junior lifeguards have the opportunity to assist CSD lifeguards and Swim Instructors during the regular work day. All Junior Lifeguards that complete 50 hours of service and training will be given a graduation certificate. Fee also includes a Teen Center Membership for June & July. Participants must attend the mandatory orientation training on Saturday, May 31st from 3- 4:30pm. Bring your swimsuits!

Swim-4-Fitness gives swimmers of all abilities the opportunity for a structured work out while swimming at their own speed. A pool-side coach is available to assist you in your fitness endeavors. Registration and fees can be taken on the pool deck. Pull buoys & kickboards are available for use. Minimum of 10 participants required

Water exercise is fun, safe and effective! Aquacise classes will be lead by aquatic fitness professional Tricia Ohl (AEA Certified). Memberships can be purchased at the registration office. Class maximum is 20 participants per session.

Swimming Lessons Registration
It is the responsibility of the participant to carefully read the class descriptions and enroll for the correct class. If you have questions in regards to class placement or level descriptions please call 933-6624.
Class Enrollment: If a participant is enrolled in the incorrect skill level, that participant is not guaranteed a space in the correct class. Pay careful attention to the class descriptions prior to enrolling. Often participants need to complete a class for two sessions before they master the skills and move on to the next level. When deciding on a level make sure to assess the participant’s ability to complete ALL of the skills listed in the class requirements.
Deadline: Resident and non-resident registration for all classes is open until filled so be sure to register early!
Refunds: Swim lesson refund requests must be made at least 5 business days before the first class.

Swimming lessons are available for swimmers of all ages. Classes are taught by EDHCSD Aquatics Instructors, who have all passed a thorough in-house Instructor Training course. Sorry, we cannot accept requests for specific instructors. Classes are two weeks, Monday through Thursday, and are 25 minutes long. Emphasis is placed on diving instruction in approach, takeoff, basic positions, and entry. Basic swimming ability is required and students should be able to dive head first from the edge of the pool. Classes are 40 minutes long and meet Monday-Thursday for two weeks.

Join us for an adventure of a lifetime! Dive Ventures will have you exploring the depths of an aquatic environment in their entry level camp that is geared to educate and excite the novice diver. Learn about equipment, safety and the joy of scuba and skin diving. All equipment during the camp is provided by Dive Ventures. The instructors are all Professional Association Diving Instructors, “PADI” certified.

Earn your PADI Open Water scuba certification with the trained professionals of Dive Ventures. The class consists of three sections; academic home study and classroom review, pool skill sessions, and open water dives. All equipment is provided for the water portion of the class. Highly trained instructors will teach wakeboarding basics and water safety to improve your skills. Wakeskating and kneeboarding are also offered. All equipment, food and drink is provided (you can bring your own equipment). Coast Guard approved Life Vests are provided and must be worn at all times while on the boat (helmets also available but are optional). Bring a small bag with sweatshirt, hat, sunglasses, and any special snacks.

classes have been a great way to harness
some of their boundless energy. Experienced
instructors make fun and water
safety/education their focus, teaching kids

activities. Beginning classes are taught in
the safe, controlled environment of Lake
Natoma, where kids can explore special
hideaways like “Swampland” and”“Berry
Pond.” They are always thrilled by the
experience and leave the class wanting
