The Mad Hatters are a group of local
residents that knit hats for newborn
babies and cancer patients in local
hospitals. Learn to knit/crochet or
brush up your skills. Since its inception,
Mad Hatters have delivered over
62,000 hats. Become a part of this
energetic group which has spread
throughout the US.

playing. The game is ACBL sanctioned
with points awarded to winners,

This stratified game is open to all

AARP Tax-Aide is the nation’s largest
free, volunteer-run tax preparation
service. This service can answer most
of the tax issues faced by middle to
low income taxpayers (exclusions are
rental property, investment real estate
and schedule C business) with special
attention to those age 60 and older.

of basic bridge and want to add

The council consists of five
elected senior volunteers. The
SSC is a liaison group between
area seniors, the El Dorado Hills
CSD, and the County Department
of Human (Senior) Services.
The council plans monthly
guest speakers for the “Senior
Tuesday Forum” and coordinates
five annual special senior parties
in addition to over-seeing other
Center activities. For more information,

Learn the techniques of drawing still
life, landscape and portraits using
pencil, pen and colored pencils. Lessons
include the concepts of shading,
textures, perspective drawing and
more. Materials will be supplied in
class, though students may also purchase
their own supplies if desired.

Sharpen your skills in offensive,
declarer play including finessing, promotion
of suits, and cross trumping.
Deciding who to “finess”, plan timing
of play, and inferences drawn from
leads and bids will be included. Useful
for students with basic bridge skills
who want to improve their declarer
play. An optional textbook is available
from the instructor for $12.

dynamic composition and shapes.
Learn to use color and brush techniques
of your own unique visions.
Emphasis will be on fine art painting
