Classes and Activities - Teen

Attention EDH teens! These dance parties are your chance to unwind and enjoy an evening with your friends. Celebrate a night off from the books and join us for dancing and fun! Refreshments are available for purchase. Student I.D. Card is required for admission. 6-8th grades ONLY, no exceptions. Dress code strictly enforced. FEE: $7

The one-stop shop for teen fun! For only $15 a
month you can come hang out and enjoy all the activities
at the Teen Center. Play a little pool, challenge someone to a video
game, do homework or get a good session in at the Skate Park! Homework hour every day from 2:30-3:30pm.

Are you looking for something that will “rock” your weekend? The Teen
Center Rec Leaders have come up with some fantastic events. Join us on
these Saturday evenings from 6:30- 9:30pm. Free for members, $5 dropin

Improve Workshop

Ages 13 & up
“Whose Line Is it Anyway?” comes to El Dorado Hills! Improv skills are
essential to being a great actor. Learn how to be funny without trying,
make up stories on the spot, and have the most fun in a class that you’ll
ever have! Improv games will help to improve your technique, acting skills
and create a whole new way to build character development.

• The types of scholarships offered and the organizations offering them
• How and where to look for scholarships
• Hints and tips for completing
applications

College Entrance Essay Brainstorming Session

Ages 15 - 18
Produce a rough draft of a college entrance essay in just two hours! Using
essay preparation materials from the University of California system as
a guide, you will:
• Brainstorm topic ideas for your essay
• Practice reflecting on your life experiences in order to identify elements
to include in your essay
• Learn proper essay organization and structure
• Practice using college-level grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation
