Sensory Friendly Swim*
While Recreation Swim is open to all participants, the experience itself can be overwhelming for individuals with sensory sensitivities, which many with special needs experience. “Sensory Friendly Swim” is specifically designed for individuals with disabilities and their families. Enjoy the pool in a quieter environment with a lower capacity and no music, reducing the normal stimuli that may be overwhelming.

*Seeking Vendors for Community Pool’s “Sensory Friendly Swim” event: The El Dorado Hills Community Services District is seeking vendors to participate in our new “Sensory Friendly Swim” event, designed specifically for individuals with disabilities and their family members. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Community Pool, after the traditional Recreation Swim. Vendors and community groups providing resources for persons with disabilities are invited to attend this event by providing an information booth/giveaways on the pool deck during this event. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please reach out to Recreation Supervisor, Brittney at: bteems@edhcsd.org.
